I read this article regarding Confronting the Early Career Gender Gap by McKinsey’s and Company and thought of sharing it across.

Commitment to gender parity at the senior levels as well as the entry levels has been on the rise, in order to promote sense of Inclusion and Diversity across the Organization.

But the statistics shows a considerable decline in the percentage of women at first- level managers when compared with entry level resources. The solution for early career gender gap is in the hands of the organization itself.
The gap can be reduced within few years by hiring and promoting women at equal rate as men.

Few Measures, if taken into consideration will help reduce the disparity across all the levels in the hierarchy:
 • Holding managers accountable for gender parity
 • Fair Recognition policy
 • Applying the science of nudges into the implementation efforts i.e. incorporating small habits that makes the difference and leads to the ultimate goal.

These few Measures, if considered during the work flow and especially during hikes and promotions, will definitely turbocharge the efforts towards workforce parity.
